Houston Favorite Comes in at No. 2 on Yelp’s Top 100 Barbecue Spots

SPRING, Texas — Houston-area barbecue fans don’t have to go far to sample some of the best in the country, according to a list of Yelp’s top 100 barbecue spots.

Head over in the spring and check out CorkScrew BBQ to try some of the “best brisket in Texas,” according to one reviewer.

According to Yelp, the Spring Joint came in second on their list with nearly 1,000 five-star reviews. They were right behind Wright’s Barbecue in Johnson, Ark.

CorkScrew owners Nichole and Will Buckman source their meat from small family farms, some of which are exclusive to them, according to the report.

According to their website, they only purchase the highest quality, farm-raised, premium meats.

The review listed CorkScrew pulled pork; pork or beef ribs; breast (lean or fatty); turkey breast; and The Bowl (two sides topped with a choice of smoked meat, green onions and cheese) as the most popular dishes.

Typically, those interested in trying CorkScrew will likely find a line or certain popular menu items out of stock – which is normal. Being on this list probably won’t help with that.

However, barbecue lovers can order online 24 hours in advance (one week during the holidays).

CorkScrew BBQ is located at 26608 Keith Street in Spring. They are open Wednesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or while supplies last. They are closed on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday.
