Shooting in Carbondale – KBSI Fox 23 Cape Girardeau News

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – On May 9, 2024, officers with the Carbondale Police Department responded to the 500 block of South Rawlings Street at approximately 6:27 p.m. after receiving multiple calls regarding a fight and a shooting.

Officers found two gunshot victims. The victims were transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

A third gunshot victim later went to the hospital alone. Officers believe this victim is part of the same incident.

Two of the three victims are teenagers.

There is currently no suspect information.

The investigation is ongoing.
