Police are investigating a crash in northeast Las Vegas that killed a pedestrian

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A pedestrian is dead after a crash in northeast Las Vegas Friday morning.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department initially received reports of a crash at 6:44 a.m. on Lake Mead Boulevard and Lamont Street near Monaco Middle School.

The accident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle remained at the scene of the accident and police believe that impairment is not currently suspected.

The public is advised to avoid the area during the investigation.
