Fort Valley police respond to weekend shooting, investigation ongoing – 41NBC News

Officers responded to a shooting at 3:40 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of E. Church St.

FORT VALLEY, Ga. (41NBC/WMGT) — A person was shot Saturday, according to Fort Valley Police Chief DJ Flores.

Officers responded to a shooting at 3:40 a.m. on July 27 in the 1100 block of E. Church St.

Officers arrived at the scene and were told by dispatch that the victims had been taken to Peach County Hospital. The victim told officers that they were sitting in the alleyway when a white SUV circled the area and fired at them.

The victim told officers that as he exited the SUV, shots were fired near the front of the apartment complex. One of the victims was shot in the arm.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
