Classes and government work suspended again in NCR, Calabarzon and Central Luzon

MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang on Wednesday declared that work in all government offices and classes at all levels in Central Luzon, Calabarzon and the National Capital Region has been suspended again.

The areas were severely hit by torrential monsoon rains, triggering flash floods and landslides, requiring evacuations, rescue and relief operations.

“In view of the continued rainfall caused by the southwest monsoon and Typhoon ‘Carina’, and to support the rescue, recovery, relief and rehabilitation efforts of the government and the private sector, work in government offices and classes at all levels in Regions III, IV-A and the National Capital Region are hereby suspended on July 25, 2024,” a memo from the Office of the Executive Secretary said.

The decision on the suspension of work in private companies is made by the respective management.
