District administration launches investigation into further overpaid employees

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Missouri – In a follow-up story from FOX Files, it was discovered that St. Louis County Executive Sam Page has launched an investigation into salary overpayments to the County Auditor, claiming there are even more overpaid employees.

FOX 2 first reported on July 9 that a whistleblower found that City Auditor Toni Jackson had been overpaid. City Councilman Ernie Trakas demanded repayment, but the matter remains unresolved and a special meeting is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

Page wrote to the administrative director on Monday that he had learned of “overpayments to at least three employees who report to the district council.”

Page has asked for all documents related to the overpayments to be released by 5 p.m. Friday.
