Five dead in shooting at nursing home in eastern Croatia: state media

At least five people were killed in a shooting at a nursing home in eastern Croatia on Monday, according to state media. This is a rare case of gun violence in the Balkan state.

Croatian state broadcaster HRT reported that an unknown gunman entered a nursing home in Daruvar – around 130 kilometers east of Zagreb – and opened fire. At least five people were killed in the shooting and several others were injured, HRT said.
