Police say there are widespread water outages in West Bradenton

Some Bradenton residents are suffering from a widespread water outage, police officials said.

Bradenton police said their 911 emergency dispatch center and other hotlines were being inundated with calls about a widespread water outage in West Bradenton.

The building department was aware of the incident and is currently attempting to locate, assess and fix the problem, officials said. Police are asking residents not to call 911.

Police department officials said they would update residents as soon as they receive information.
