Motorcyclist killed in accident northeast of Indy

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis police are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist Thursday night in northeast Indy.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the intersection near E. 79th Street and Fall Creek Road at approximately 8:49 p.m. on a report of an injury crash in the area.

When officers arrived, they found that a vehicle and a motorcyclist had collided. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by Indianapolis EMS, IMPD said.

IMPD confirmed that the driver is still on scene and assisting officers in investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash.
