1 person killed in crash near Blanchette Bridge, westbound lanes of I-70 closed

ST. CHARLES, Missouri (First Alert 4) – One person was killed in a crash in St. Charles on I-70 Wednesday morning, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

According to MSHP, the crash occurred at the intersection of I-70 and 5th Street, just west of the Blanchette Bridge. One person was pronounced dead. All lanes of westbound I-70 at the 5th Street intersection are currently closed and traffic is being diverted onto 5th Street.
