2 children stabbed to death in domestic violence in Kansas City

A young teenage girl and a young boy are in the hospital after being stabbed in an alleged domestic violence incident in Kansas City. According to Kansas City, Missouri police, the unidentified juvenile victim suffered life-threatening injuries during the attack. KCPD officers were dispatched to a home in the 3800 block of Indiana Avenue around 1 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, officers heard a noise coming from inside the home. Inside the home, they found a boy under the age of 10 who had an apparent cut wound. Officers then found a juvenile female victim under the age of 15 who had a stab wound. An adult male was taken into custody at the scene. He will be held for 24 hours for further questioning. Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment. The young teenage girl is currently in critical condition. The young boy is reportedly in stable condition. The KCPD investigation into the alleged domestic violence attack is currently ongoing. Maryanne Metheny, executive director of Hope House, says children often try to stop the violence and get hurt in the process. They can also become victims of violence.
