Third suspect arrested in connection with Round Rock shooting

ROUND ROCK, Texas – A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Juneteenth celebration in Round Rock last month that left two people dead and 14 injured.

Keshawn Dixon, 18, was arrested in Killeen on Saturday, according to a Round Rock Police post on X (formerly Twitter). Dixon was taken to the Bell County Jail.

He faces a charge of deadly conduct, a third-degree felony, with the possibility of additional charges.

Dixon is the third suspect arrested in connection with the June 15 shooting, which occurred in Old Settlers Park, where people gathered to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday.

In late June, police arrested a 17-year-old from Manor and a “male minor” in connection with the shooting.

According to authorities, the incident occurred between two groups when someone started shooting.

Police identified the two victims as 33-year-old Lyndsey Vicknair and 54-year-old Ara Duke.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
