Two underage siblings found dead in the drain were raped

Disturbing revelations have emerged during an investigation into the gruesome discovery of the bodies of a woman and her two children in a drain in Mauripur.

Police said postmortems confirmed that the children were raped by their abuser, who then dumped the bodies in the drain. They added that a chemical examination report is still pending to confirm the woman’s rape.

Keamari SSP Faizan Ali said the bodies were discovered in Sher Muhammad village under the jurisdiction of Mauripur police station.

The victims were identified as 25-year-old Ruqiya, his six-year-old daughter Fatima and his two-year-old son Adnan. They were missing for two days before their bodies were found in a drain.

The woman’s husband, who works in a tire repair shop, had reported the disappearance of his wife and children, leading to the gruesome discovery.

SSP Ali further stated that police investigators have obtained CCTV footage in the area which may help them identify the culprits. Statements of eyewitnesses are being recorded as part of the ongoing investigation.
