Missing Johnson Co. teen found safe

UPDATE: 7am – The TBI released a statement that Lilyana Cook has been located and Steffany Hamner is in custody.

Previous story: MOUNTAIN CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has issued an alert about Johnson County children at risk.

According to the TBI, 14-year-old Lilyana Cook was last seen in Mountain City on Wednesday.

The agency sent out the alert just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday on behalf of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

The agency said Cook is believed to be with Steffany Hamner, her non-custodial mother who is wanted for child custody interference in Johnson County.

According to a TBI social media post, Hamner may be on his way to Colorado.

Cook is said to have blonde hair and blue eyes. She is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 98 pounds. She was last seen wearing a beige long-sleeved crop top and black sweatpants.
