Suspect arrested in Ohio in connection with Missouri road rage incident – ​​WOWO News/Talk 92.3 FM, 1190 AM, 107.5 FM and 97.3 HD2


ANTWERP, Ohio (WOWO) – Multiple law enforcement agencies worked together to arrest a Mississippi man in connection with a road rage incident.

On Thursday, June 27, 2024, shortly after 4:00 p.m., a commercial vehicle was stopped on US 24 east of the Ohio-Indiana state line by the Allen County, Indiana Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police. Authorities were assisting Jasper County, Missouri law enforcement in pursuing the vehicle, which was driven by 37-year-old Jeremiah Jerome Nix of Greenville, Mississippi, a suspect in an incident of driving aggression.

Upon arrival of Paulding County and Ohio State Highway Patrol officers, Nix was arrested by Indiana State Police. A warrant for Nix’s arrest was sent to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for unlawful use of a weapon, shooting at a person from a motor vehicle, and assault. Nix is ​​currently being held in the Paulding County Jail awaiting an extradition hearing.
