Man shot in leg in Decatur, police investigating – WSB-TV Channel 2

DECATUR, Ga. — DeKalb County police are investigating a call about a person shot shortly after 6 p.m., officials say.

Police said they responded to a call about a firearm being used in the 4200 block of Mercer Road at around 6:42 p.m.

When police arrived, they said they found a man in his forties with a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officials say the motive is currently unknown, but a suspect has been identified. Police have not yet said if they know where the suspect is or if he has been located.

The investigation is ongoing.
