34-year-old dies in collision with power pole

A man has died when a car crashed into a utility pole in Avondale earlier this month. According to Cincinnati police, it happened around 1:50 a.m. on June 7 in the 3500 block of Vine Street. According to Cincinnati police, a 32-year-old woman was driving on Vine Street when she lost control of the vehicle on a curve, veered off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. At the time of the crash, a 35-year-old woman suffered serious injuries, according to police, and was taken by the Cincinnati Fire Department to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries. The coroner’s office identified her as 35-year-old Tyler Owens. On Friday, police said another person, a 34-year-old man, died on Thursday as a result of the crash. Police did not release the identity of the deceased man. The driver of the car and another 34-year-old passenger were injured in the crash and taken to hospital for treatment. Excessive speed and impairment are being investigated as factors in the crash. Police said they were not wearing seat belts.
