Police and multiple agencies arrest serial burglars in connection with break-ins in the Detroit area

David Alan Hudson, 59, was arrested by detectives from the Waterford Police Special Unit along with officers from White Lake, Farmington, Farmington Hills and West Bloomfield following another burglary.

The incident occurred Friday (June 21) after Hudson broke into a home on Drake Road in Farmington.

Officers said they were able to recover items stolen from the home at the time of the arrest, as well as two handguns, burglary tools and crack cocaine.

Police said a search warrant was executed on Hudson’s home and that stolen property was recovered in recent burglaries in Waterford, Troy, Farmington, Milford, Keego Harbor and several other locations in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Hudson is accused of:

  • Count 1 – Second Degree Burglary – 15 years in prison

  • Count 2 – Possession of burglary tools – 10 years in prison

  • Count 3 – concealed carrying of a weapon – five-year felony

  • Count 4 – Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm – Five-Year Felony

  • Count 5 – Serious Firearm Crime – Two-Year Felony

  • Count 6 – Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition – Five-Year Felony

  • Count 7 – Serious Firearm Crime – Two-Year Felony

  • Count 8 – Possession of Cocaine – four-year felony

  • Count 9 – Serious Firearm Crime – Two-Year Felony
