Houston returns to summer this weekend!

Current radar:

View our current radar below. The showers continue to arrive, nothing too serious for the rest of the weekend. They will drift from east to west.

Today’s forecast:

For the weekend and weekend, we will return to more typical summer weather: Hot, sticky and humid. We will see a few scattered storms in the afternoon, remainder of Alberto’s overall flow as it moves toward Mexico. The weekend will be warm and mostly rain-free, except for a few occasional storms each afternoon.

Tracking the tropics:

There is a 60% chance of another tropical depression developing in the Bay of Campeche, similar to the location formed by Alberto. We will follow this one through the weekend, however, with the strong pressure centered over the southeastern United States, it will also head, whatever form the storm takes, towards Mexico, far away from the Texas coast.

There is an average chance of development. (Copyright 2024 by KPRC Click2Houston – All rights reserved.)
10-day forecast:

Tropical showers early in the week will keep temperatures in the 80s. Rain chances will diminish over the weekend, but we will remain in a wet pattern along the Gulf Coast next week.
