Man in his 40s found shot to death on Lynnfield Street in north Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a man’s body was found on the side of a road in north Houston Tuesday evening.

The Houston Police Department said the victim’s body was discovered on Lynnfield Street around 11 p.m.

Police initially thought the man had been hit by a car after someone reported seeing the victim, believed to be in his 40s, lying in the roadway.

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered he had been shot and reported bleeding from the head.

HPD Lt. R. Willkens said investigators are following some leads based on information provided by the victim’s family, but are still asking the public for any available information.
