BAYPORT, MN — The Minnesota Department of Corrections is investigating the death of an inmate at Bayport State Prison.

The unidentified inmate was found dead in his cell at Stillwater State Prison early Saturday morning. Initial reports suggest the 22-year-old may have died from drug abuse.

Third-party liability is not suspected at present.
