Two men arrested after injuring elderly woman in road rage incident at LAX airport

Violent altercation: Elderly passenger in hospital

Detectives from the Pacific-LAX Division of the Los Angeles Police Department have arrested two men involved in a road rage incident at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) that left an elderly woman unconscious and hospitalized.

The attack occurred on May 31, 2024, at approximately 9:25 a.m. An elderly passenger was checking her luggage at the curbside at LAX airport when she was struck by two individuals who were involved in a fight due to a road rage dispute. The altercation resulted in the individuals colliding with the woman, causing her to fall to the ground.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where she was admitted in critical condition. She has since been released from the hospital.

One of the suspects involved in the fight, seen shirtless on surveillance footage, turned himself in to police and was arrested. The second suspect, Jasan Givens Sr., initially fled the scene but was later arrested Friday morning. Givens is charged with assault and is being held on $50,000 bail.
