Atlantic Police investigate two-vehicle crash | crime

According to a report from the Atlantic Police Department, Atlantic Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Southwest Seventh Street and West 15th Street in Atlantic at 7:51 a.m. Wednesday morning.

An investigation into the accident revealed that a 2021 Toyota Camry exited the Atlantic Achievement Center drive onto Southwest Seventh Street and was struck by a 2004 GMC Envoy that was traveling northeast on Southwest Seventh Street. The driver of the Toyota was checked at the scene of the accident. He was examined by emergency services and taken in a private vehicle to be examined for minor injuries. Both vehicles were able to be removed from the scene of the accident. The driver of the Toyota Camry was cited for failing to move forward while entering a thoroughfare.
