Two people arrested for fraud in ticket fraud investigation

Two people were arrested by police investigating allegations of “significant ticket fraud” in connection with concerts in Cardiff.

A 32-year-old woman from Neath and a 27-year-old man from St Mellons, Cardiff, were arrested on suspicion of fraud and are currently in custody.

Det Sgt Grant Phillips said South Wales Police were investigating “large-scale ticket fraud relating to concerts in Cardiff via a WhatsApp group”.

The Welsh capital is hosting around 30 major concerts this summer, and Taylor Swift will be in town on Tuesday, a week after Pink’s sold-out performance at the Principality Stadium.
