A “callous predator” raped a 14-year-old girl on a train despite begging him to stop

A “callous predator” raped a 14-year-old girl on a train while she begged him to stop. Awsaf Ahmed, 30, of Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe, was on board a train heading to London Marylebone when he approached a 14-year-old girl.

Ahmed started talking to the girl and her friends, asking them their ages and whether they smoked weed. He then pressured the victim to leave her alone and forced her to talk to him alone in the toilet.



He threatened that he knew people everywhere, which made the victim fear for the safety of his friends. Upon entering the toilet, Ahmed locked the door and then raped her, despite repeated requests to stop.

After the attack, he added her on Snapchat to continue contact with her. Later that evening, Ahmed called the victim on Snapchat and asked her, “When are you turning 16?” and “Did you like it yesterday?”

The victim reported the incident to British Transport Police the following day. Less than a week later, Bedfordshire Police received a report of another incident involving Ahmed.

Try to entice another girl into sexual activity

He tried to entice a 15-year-old girl into sexual activity. He initially talked to her about jewelry and her origins before the conversation became more threatening, telling the victim that anyone was capable of killing and that if you disrespected him, he would kill someone with just a text or a message Can make the call disappear.

He then turned the conversation to relationships, asking the 15-year-old for relationship advice before asking her about her own relationship status and sexual experiences. He then tried to force her to engage in sexual activity with him. Luckily the victim was able to leave the situation and reported Ahmed to Bedfordshire Police the next day.

Ahmed is scheduled to be sentenced at a later date. BTP investigating officer Detective Constable Matthew Nolan said: “Ahmed is a callous predator who targeted young girls for his own sexual gratification. Despite the victim’s repeated pleas to stop, he caught her and raped her, leaving her fearing not only for herself but also for her friend’s safety. I hope the guilty verdict helps bring her some closure.

BTP senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Paul Attwell said: “These were extremely frightening experiences for Ahmed’s victims and I commend them for reporting him so we could take action. “Ahmed’s coercive and threatening behavior towards young, vulnerable people Girls will not be tolerated on the rail network or anywhere else and I am grateful to see today’s ruling.”
