Rape: Man arrested for raping five-year-old girl | Ludhiana News

Ludhiana: Police have arrested a shopkeeper who allegedly raped a five-year-old girl by luring her with a toffee. The accused is around 34 years old. The victim’s mother told police that the man, a shopkeeper, had tried to molest the child some time ago when they were buying goods from the shop. The complainant said when they protested, the accused told them that if they thought so, they should not come to the shop. She said that they stopped going to the shop but when she went to work, the accused came to their house and gave her daughter chocolates and toffees. On Friday, she said that the accused again lured the child with toffee and raped her. She said that she came to know about it when the child, who was bleeding, told her what had happened. The victim’s mother informed the police and took her to the hospital for medical examination. tnn
