Pedestrian killed in crash Thursday in Kansas City, Kansas

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Kansas State troopers are investigating a deadly overnight crash in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Kansas Department of Transportation closed all eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 for several hours Thursday night after a car struck a pedestrian crossing eastbound I-70 at 18th Street.

The person who was hit and killed has not been named.

The crash happened just before 9:30 pm on Thursday. The driver stopped and nobody in the car was hurt.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is still working to determine the identity of the pedestrian struck.
