Recall Warning: Chevrolet Corvette 2024-2025

Chevrolet has ordered dealers to temporarily stop selling Corvette models and has ordered a recall for 13,464 of the 2024 and 2025 model year sports cars due to a seat belt defect.

The company told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that some cars were built at the factory with defective seat belt retractors. These retractors can jam the belts, preventing them from extending far enough to fasten them.

GM is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the problem.

To fix the problem, dealers are replacing both car seat belt retractors. Once dealers have repaired the models on their lots, they can start selling them again.
