The Davenport mother was arrested following the death of a 4-year-old, officials say

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 36-year-old mother has been arrested in the death of her 4-year-old child, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd will provide an update on the arrest and “horrific murder” on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., a news release said.

No further details, including the woman’s name, were released before the press conference.

The woman is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and witness tampering.
