Rapper Enchanting died at the age of 26 after his life support was discontinued

Enchanting, a Texas rapper and former protégé of Gucci Mane, has died at the age of 26 after reports that she had been placed on life support.

“So sad to say rest in peace to such an amazing young lady, a true star, we will all miss you Chant,” Gucci Mane wrote on Tuesday under a photo of his girlfriend on Instagram.

An official cause of death was not announced, but fellow rapper Lil CJ Kasino said her family took Enchanting off life support after she lost consciousness the day before.

The gossip portal The Shade Room reported that Enchanting had been suffering from severe withdrawal symptoms in recent days and had eventually fallen into critical condition after an alleged overdose.

“She’s been coming to my house for the last four days to get clean,” a representative from her management team told the outlet. “She’s been trying her best and I’ve done everything I can to help her, she’s been trying.”

Following reports that Enchanting had been admitted to intensive care, her sister Kayy’Jayy reportedly tried to combat premature rumors that she had died on Monday night, according to iHeartRadio.

However, her sister apparently confirmed the news on Tuesday afternoon with a photo of the couple on social media and a message that simply said, “I love you girl.”

The 26-year-old rapper, whose real name was Channing Nicole Larry, had signed a deal with Gucci Mane’s record label 1017 and worked with its top acts before leaving the label in 2022.

Most recently, three of her songs were featured on the soundtrack of the HBO series “Rap Sh!t Season 2.” She was also featured on Big Scarr’s 2023 posthumous album “The Secret Weapon,” released just months after his alleged death from a prescription drug overdose.
