Community mourns loss of deputy after tragic car crash near Houston | State

TRINITY COUNTY, Texas — Deputy Justin Fester, who served both Trinity and Walker Counties, was killed in a tragic car accident in New Mexico on June 8.

Deputy Fester was an active full-time deputy before transitioning to the reserve deputy role for both the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office and the Walker County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office. For the past twelve years, he has dedicated himself to serving his community and the citizens of both counties.

“Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers,” the statement said. “Justin was a deputy in Walker County before moving to Trinity County, and he worked closely with our department over the years. He was a good man and we will miss him.”
