Rape: Teenager sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping minor | News from Bhopal

Bhopal/Jabalpur: A special POCSO court in Jabalpur sentenced a 20-year-old youth to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 for raping a minor girl. According to the charge sheet, the accused raped the 11-year-old survivor for the past three years. He raped the girl several times between April 9, 2021, and May 4, 2024. Following a complaint by the survivor, the police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act and filed a chargesheet in the Nisha Gupta special POCSO court. The court found the accused guilty after trial and sentenced him to 20 years of imprisonment. TNN
