Two people arrested for drug and gun possession in Tompkins County – Finger Lakes Daily News

Two Tompkins County residents were taken into police custody after drugs and a gun were found in a car during a traffic stop.

The passenger in the car, 29-year-old Michael Gilmore of Ithaca, was known to be wanted on a warrant. When police arrested Gilmore, they allegedly found .380 ammunition and drug paraphernalia in the car. A further search found a .380 semi-automatic pistol, a vial suspected to contain methamphetamine, a crack pipe and additional ammunition under the passenger seat where Gilmore was sitting. It was also discovered that Gilmore allegedly had three plastic vials of suspected heroin and fentanyl hidden in his underwear.

Gilmore and the driver of the car, 60-year-old Terri Meddaugh of Lansing, were charged with aggravated possession of a weapon and minor possession of a controlled substance.

Both were taken to the Tompkins County Jail after their arraignment.
