Weather in Denver: Exact weather warning day for storms on Saturday evening

DENVER (KDVR) — A day of pinpoint weather warnings continued Saturday afternoon and evening, with strong to severe storms affecting the weather in Denver. The strongest storms are expected east of the metropolis, with hail and destructive wind gusts being the main threat.

A severe weather warning is in effect until 7:00 p.m., which also affects the Denver metropolitan area.

Weather tonight: Storms end

Thunderstorms will continue along the city corridor through Saturday evening, with the strongest storms in Eastern Colorado ending Saturday evening.

The greatest risk for severe storms, capable of bringing 1- to 2-inch hail and damaging wind gusts of over 60 mph, is in the enhanced risk zone, which corresponds to level 3 on a scale of 1 to 5 for severe storms.

After sunset, the risk of storms will shift further east. After that, the clouds will clear and the lowest temperatures will fall to around 13 degrees Celsius.

Weather tomorrow: Afternoon thunderstorms

Clouds will move in again from Sunday afternoon.

Before another series of thunderstorms, maximum temperatures will reach around 80 degrees.

During severe thunderstorms, the greatest risk is destructive wind gusts and large hail.

Outlook: More thunderstorms at the start of the working week

Monday will see the familiar pattern of increasing cloud cover, followed by thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Tuesday will start mostly sunny, then the risk of afternoon thunderstorms will decrease. Wednesday and Thursday will see sunshine and hot temperatures return, with highs around 30 degrees. Towards the end of the working week there will be a chance of afternoon thunderstorms again.
