Famous Buffalo Bills Fan Receives Team Surprise on ‘Today’ Show

Former “One Tree Hill” star Chad Michael Murray received a surprise from his favorite football team on the “Today” show.

The actor, a Western New York native and one of the most famous members of the Bills Mafia, received a custom Buffalo Bills jersey during his appearance Tuesday on the third hour of the NBC morning show. The jersey, sent to Murray by the NFL team, has his name on the back and the number “24” because his birthday is August 24.

“Oh! Look at that. Boom!” » said Murray, proudly showing off his new equipment to the camera. “That’s so nice, guys, thank you.”

Murray explained that he and his family are “die-hard” Bills fans and that they “cried for about a week” after Buffalo was eliminated in the playoffs by the Kansas City Chiefs. Murray was born and raised in the Buffalo area and graduated from Clarence High School in 1999; he also told the “Today” show that he has been a season ticket holder for more than 20 years.
