Big Rapids man arrested, accused of sexually abusing a child – 9&10 News

BIG RAPIDS – Officers with the Michigan State Police Mt. Pleasant Post arrested Jeffrey James Harvell of Big Rapids on Saturday, June 1, for alleged sexual abuse of a minor.

Harvell was arraigned on two counts of sexual abuse of children in 77th District Court on June 3. Bail was set at $75,000, or 10% cash surety, and he must wear a GPS leash.

If convicted, Harvell faces up to 20 years in prison for each count.
