Domestic Violence: Warrensville Center Road

On May 29 at 12:35 p.m., a 57-year-old woman living in the 2000 block of Warrensville Center Road reported that her 57-year-old husband strangled her during an argument and left the area.

With assistance from Beachwood Police, Shaker Heights officers found the man at the Beachwood Library on May 30. He was arrested for domestic violence.

Disturbance: Daleford Road

On May 24 at 3:05 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of ​​Daleford and Winslow Roads for a report of an intoxicated man yelling in the street.

Officers located a 40-year-old Shaker Heights man who was extremely intoxicated. Police arrested the man for disturbing the peace.

Trespassing: Sudbury Road

On May 24 at 4:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Sudbury Road for a report of a man being in the unlocked car of a 34-year-old woman.

Officers found the 27-year-old Cleveland man and arrested him for trespassing.

Theft: Chagrin Boulevard

On May 24 at 10:30 a.m., dispatch received a report of a woman stealing food from Heinen’s Grocery Store, 16611 Chagrin Blvd.

Officers arrested a 53-year-old Cleveland resident for theft and found narcotics on her. The stolen goods were returned to the store’s management.

Arrest Warrant: Ludgate Road

On May 24 at 10:50 a.m., patrol officers initiated a traffic stop on a Jeep in the area of ​​Ludgate Road.

Officers learned that the driver, a 25-year-old Warrensville Heights man, was wanted by Lorain police for aggravated assault. Police confirmed the warrant, arrested the man, and turned him over to Lorain officers.

Theft: Fairhill Road

On May 24 at 5:05 p.m., a 46-year-old man living in the 12000 block of Fairhill Road reported that someone broke into his unsecured property and stole his 9 mm firearm, valued at $685.

Arrest Warrant: Larchmere Boulevard

On May 24 at 11:50 p.m., police stopped a Kia vehicle for an equipment violation in the area of ​​Cheshire Road and Larchmere Boulevard.

Officers learned that the driver, a 39-year-old Cleveland man, was wanted by the Ohio Highway Patrol for traffic violations. Officers confirmed the warrant.

During the search of the man during his arrest, officers discovered suspected narcotics and charged the man with drug abuse.

Officers learned that a 32-year-old woman from Shaker Heights had assaulted her 37-year-old wife. Officers arrested the 32-year-old for domestic violence.

Domestic Violence: Winslow Road

On May 26 at 11:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 18000 block of Winslow Road for a report of a fight between a man and a woman in the front yard of a residence.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a 27-year-old woman from Shaker Heights had attacked her 29-year-old partner.

The police arrested the woman for domestic violence. The man refused medical help.

Shots fired: Warrensville Center Road

On May 27 at 12:10 a.m., dispatch received a report of shots fired in the area of ​​Warrensville Center Road and Chagrin Boulevard.

Officers found a 28-year-old Cleveland man who said he was shot in the leg by two Cleveland brothers, ages 20 and 21.

The suspects fled the area. Officers called an ambulance and searched for the suspects, but were unable to apprehend them.

Domestic Violence: Newell Road

Officers learned that the driver, a 47-year-old man from Sheffield Lake, was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office on a drug charge. Officers arrested the man and turned him over to Cuyahoga County officials.

Domestic Violence: Milverton Road

On May 28 at 7:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Milverton Road to investigate a hung-up 911 call.

Officers learned that a 46-year-old Shaker Heights man had assaulted his 44-year-old wife and left the scene.

Officers pursued the man and arrested him for domestic violence. The woman refused medical attention.

Theft: Chagrin Boulevard

On May 28 at 2:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Walgreens location at 16400 Chagrin Blvd. for a report of a theft.

Officers learned that two unknown female suspects stole merchandise valued at $156.28 and left the store on foot. The suspects could not be located.

OVI: Boulevard des Chagrin

On May 30 at 12:55 a.m., officers stopped an Infiniti vehicle for reckless driving in the area of ​​Chagrin Boulevard and Lee Road.

Officers smelled alcohol and determined that the driver, a 35-year-old Maple Heights man, was intoxicated. Police arrested the man for driving under the influence. He refused to provide a breath sample.
