Claymont man arrested for rape, car theft |

A man is behind bars in Claymont for sexual assault and car theft.

Delaware police said a woman was getting out of her car Wednesday night when a man sexually and physically assaulted her, dragged her from her car and fled in the stolen vehicle. The woman was treated for her injuries and released from an area hospital.

A short time later, Tinicum Township Police in Pennsylvania spotted the stolen car near Philadelphia International Airport and stopped the driver. 26-year-old Keenan Brown-Meads of Claymont was taken into custody.

According to state police, Brown-Meads is charged with rape, robbery, unlawful sexual contact, attempted strangulation and assault.
