School administrator arrested for alleged inappropriate behavior toward students

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (KTAL/KMSS) – A man who worked at Keithville Middle School was arrested for allegedly making inappropriate sexual comments toward a minor, police said.

According to SPD arrest information, Charles Powell, 59, was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on Thursday, May 30, after a report was filed with Child Protective Services alleging that he made inappropriate sexual comments toward a female student.

SPD conducted forensic interviews with several alleged victims. During the interview, the victim disclosed information about the incidents. The interviews led to investigators obtaining an arrest warrant for Powell on two counts of sexual battery of a minor.

The investigation is ongoing and Shreveport Police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
