Hurricane season is just a few weeks away and the WPTV First Alert weather team is here to keep you safe this storm season.

The 2024 hurricane season marks a milestone for the region. It’s been nearly 20 years since Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne made landfall on South Hutchinson Island. WPTV Chief Meteorologist Steve Weagle visits the area and gets an update on a major restoration effort at Bathtub Beach.
