Hawaii Island Police are renewing their request for information from the public regarding a 75-year-old Hilo woman who has not been seen or heard from by her family since April 2017. Glynda Evangelista was last seen on Kilauea Avenue in Hilo on Monday, April 24, 2017.

Due to her age and medical condition that requires medication, Evangelista is considered missing. Her family continues to search for answers in this case that was reported nearly seven years ago.

At the time of the first report, Evangelista was described as 5’4″ tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds, of medium build, with short graying hair, hazel eyes, fair skin, and glasses. She was last seen wearing a dark jacket and an orange and yellow floral dress, and carrying a blue backpack.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding Evangelista’s disappearance and/or her whereabouts to call the police non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or Captain Rio Amon-Wilkins of the Area I Criminal Investigation Division at (808) 961-2251 or via email at [email protected].
