Police chief helps cat with can stuck on its head

According to a Facebook post, the Northwest Police Department recently noticed a cat near the railroad tracks with a can stuck on its head.

When incident commander David Everett arrived on scene on Monday, May 20, he was able to locate the cat and successfully remove the can.

“We do not know if the cat sustained any injuries as it ran away. Chief Everett sustained a few scratches on his arm from the cat,” the NPD said in a statement. “We would like to thank the concerned citizen for calling.”

“If you use cans like these, please crush them when you put them in your garbage bins. Animals and wildlife could get stuck in them.”
