Man hit and injured in pedestrian accident on 805 Freeway in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (May 28, 2024) – A 67-year-old man was struck and injured in a pedestrian accident on the 805 Freeway near Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.

According to San Diego police, the pedestrian accident occurred on Monday around 2:20 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 67-year-old man stepped in front of an oncoming 2012 Ford F-150. The Ford driver then struck the pedestrian on the exit ramp from Freeway 805 onto Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.

Shortly afterwards, paramedics arrived and took the victim to a hospital with a skull fracture.
