Latest news on Israel-Hamas war: Israel attacks Rafah, killing at least 35 people, Gaza officials say

At least 35 people were killed and dozens injured in an Israeli attack on a makeshift tent camp in a part of the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah that the Israeli military had declared a “humanitarian zone” for displaced Palestinians, Gaza authorities said.

The Israeli military confirmed that it carried out an airstrike northwest of Rafah on Sunday evening based on “precise intelligence information”. Two high-ranking Hamas officials were killed in the attack, including Yassin Rabia, the commander of the group’s operations in the West Bank.
