Man arrested in connection with shooting

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Huntington police say one person was arrested Saturday after shots were fired near a gas station.

Devon Chaffins was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and criminal damage.

Officers were nearby when they heard gunshots at a gas station near the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Hal Greer shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Investigators said the situation escalated into a fight between Chaffins and another person, and a firearm was fired.

The incident remains under investigation by the Huntington Police Department.
