Firefighters respond to airboat incident in the Everglades

BROWARD COUNTY, Florida. – Firefighters responded to an airboat incident in southwest Broward County on Sunday.

Both the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Miami-Dade Fire Departments were involved. Records show dispatchers sent units to Mack’s Fish Camp, where Gladesmen Airboat Tours operates off Danell Lane.

The camp is located in the Everglades Wildlife Management Area, west of where Krome Avenue and Okeechobee Road meet at the county line.
