Husband and wife dead in Virginia hospital after apparent murder-suicide – WGAU

NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia – A man and a woman were found dead at a hospital in Newport News, Virginia, Sunday morning following an incident.

Newport News police said officers received a call about a shooting at Riverside Regional Medical Center just after 8 a.m. When officers arrived, they found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The police have only identified the two adults as husband and wife.

Police believe the incident was an apparent murder-suicide, WAVY reported.

According to WVEC, the hospital was placed under a brief closure but has since been lifted.

Neither hospital staff nor patients were injured in the incident, the news agency reported.
