Traffic in New York City: Cyclist in Washington Heights hit and killed by fleeing driver

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (WABC) – A cyclist was fatally injured in a hit-and-run accident in Washington Heights on Thursday evening.

The 30-year-old man, identified as Zenaido Rosas Pinzon of the Bronx, was struck while riding his bicycle on the Washington Bridge at Amsterdam Avenue shortly before 11:15 p.m.

He was struck by a dark SUV or minivan that fled the scene.

Rosas Pinzon was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.

No arrests were made.
