Tyson Fury banned from boxing after brutal defeat to Oleksandr Usyk

This is how Chisanga Malata of SunSport saw the fight when Oleksandr Usyk was crowned undisputed world champion against Tyson Fury.

ROUND 1

Here we go. Both men try to establish their dominance early by taking the center of the ring.

Fury marches towards the Ukrainian, who opens with a hard body shot.

The Gypsy King looks huge compared to Usyk, who is anything but a dwarf.

Usyk is happy to operate from the outside, although the early injury he suffered may have given him cause for reflection.

Fury tries to get Usyk, who doesn’t drag out his punches too much, to launch attacks.

Fury hits more but is not as precise as Usyk.

Usyk pushes Fury into the corner and lands a good three-punch combination.

But Fury comes back with a hard body shot after dodging the danger.

ROUND 3

Fury is on his bike after the restart and lands a stiff straight from close range.

Usyk has decided to close the distance after this punch and will work on Fury’s slimmed down upper body.

With just over a minute left in the verse, Fury knocks the head back with a powerful left overhand.

Round 4

After the break, Fury attacks the body with two hard punches.

He really enjoys dancing around after landing his punches.

But he still allows himself to come under pressure and draw Usyk’s attention to himself.

Fury lands a beautiful counter just as Usyk comes forward.

Usyk’s head is thrown back by another hellish uppercut.

Both men landed nearly hard backhands before the bell, with Fury narrowly missing an uppercut and Usyk landing a left overhand. ANGER 10-9

Round 5

After the restart, Usyk enters the center of the ring and tries to get within reach by feinting.

Fury does a good job of keeping the Ukrainian at bay as he tries to close the distance.

A scratching uppercut tears Usyk’s head back.

Fury injures Usyk with relentless hooks to the stomach. ANGER 10-9

Round 6

Usyk is on the attack immediately after the restart and tries to force Fury onto the defensive again.

A hard body blow to the solar plexus gives Usyk something to think about again.

With a minute and a half left in the round, Fury almost ended the show with a massive uppercut.

But 20 seconds later he finds a place for it and Usyk is in retreat mode.

Fury ends the round with some bragging, putting his hands behind his back and then placing his arms on the ropes.

Round 7

After the restart, Usyk shortens the distance again, but is intercepted from a distance.

And when he steps back, his body is hit by nasty hooks.

Usyk finds a target for his straight left, but Fury devours it like a packed lunch prepared for him by his beloved wife Paris.

Another straight left snaps Fury’s head back, who backs away from range to make room for a body shot.

Usyk manages to close the distance in the remaining seconds and finds an opportunity for a two-punch combination.

Round 8

Fury likes to be on the defensive in the eighth round and chooses his punches carefully.

But two consecutive straight lefts rattle his skull, but he fends them off before turning to a feint again and trying to make room for a body shot.

Usyk has to deal with Fury’s weight briefly in the clinch after landing a good straight left.

Round 9

Fury does a good job of confusing Usyk with feints, but the Ukrainian continues to push forward.

But slowly but surely he allows the gap to be closed, which leads to him taking a heavy left punch in the corner.

Fury is injured and stumbles across the ring. The damage was caused by a left hook.

A desperate Usyk, spurred on by the plight of his Ukrainian compatriots at home, immediately gets to work after the restart.

Fury tries to keep him at bay with the jab, but struggles to knock him out due to the stiffness he displayed in the early rounds.

Usyk briefly holds the WBC king in the corner and lands a sharp left punch.

Usyk doubles up with two left hands that briefly push Fury into the ropes.

The round ends with another big overhand left from Usyk. : USYK 10-9

Round 12

The fans present in the Kingdom Arena cheer on both fighters after the final resumption of the fight.

Fury plays the matador while Usyk tries to get within range to land his left hook.

And he finds a home for it with a minute and a half left in the verse.

A striking right throws Fury backwards, but he returns fire with a punch of his own that pushes the left-hander into his back.

Fury puts his hands behind his back to provoke Usyk into making a sloppy mistake in the final seconds.
