Stolen truck found; Coleman Arrested – Peak of Ohio

On Tuesday afternoon, Logan County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call from Shelly Construction Company saying a red flatbed truck had been stolen from a construction site.

When officers arrived on scene, officers reported that the vehicle’s GPS showed traffic congestion in Champaign County.

While en route to locating the vehicle, it was seen on State Route 235 between Quincy and DeGraff.

When officers caught up with the truck, they attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver fled.

As the truck continued outside of DeGraff, it eventually came to a stop on County Road 18.

The officers ordered the driver to get out of the vehicle at gunpoint. He obeyed and was arrested.

The driver, identified as Joey Coleman, 44, of Kenton, was taken to the Logan County Jail.

He was charged with failure to comply and grand larceny.
